City partners on cooling, water to protect unsheltered residents

Texas summers can be unforgiving, especially for residents experiencing homelessness. After community providers saw an increase in heat‑related illnesses and deaths in the summer of 2022, the City of Fort Worth began partnering with local nonprofits to provide greater access to cooling stations during the hottest part of the year.
